Shiraz Endodontics is a specialist private dental centre dedicated to root canal treatment (Endodontics). The aim of the centre, which was founded in 2000, is to provide expert treatment by highly trained and qualified specialists who are also actively involved in research and training. You will be treated with the utmost care and respect, in a relaxed environment and our trained team will be ready to assist you in any way they can. Dr Arta Vahdaty
Arta has been a registered specialist in Endodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons in London, since 1997. She qualified from Guy’s Hospital, London in 1986 and worked in general practice prior to gaining an MSc in Endodontics from University of London in 1992. Arta’s many years of experience has given her the skills in diagnosis, case management and treatment planning associated with cases which require root canal treatment. Arta’s areas of interest include re-treatment and surgical endodontics with particular focus on patient’s well- being and comfort. Arta has also for many years been a part-time lecturer at Birmingham Dental Hospital, training undergraduates as well as being involved in postgraduate education of qualified dentists. She is a member of the British Endodontic Society.
Dr Corneliu Gherasim
Corneliu is a registered Endodontic specialist. He completed his 3-year full-time MSc in Endodontology and Dentistry Research from the International University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain in 2016. His areas of expertise include restorative-driven Endodontics, complex treatment cases requiring a multi-disciplinary approach, while focusing on high- quality treatment outcome together with patient’s comfort and well-being. Corneliu places emphasis on accurate diagnosis to facilitate appropriate treatment decisions, which is the reason why one of his research interests and areas of expertise is the use of CBCT. He is actively engaged in academic teaching and holds a lecturer position at International University of Catalonia and very much enjoys the study sessions of the Langham Study Group.
Vickie is a qualified, registered dental nurse. She started her dental nursing career in 1990 and qualified as a dental nurse in May 1995. Over the years she has worked in NHS and private practice where she worked her way up from Dental Nurse to Practice Manager. She then joined Shiraz Endodontic Practice in 2004, where she has enjoyed learning about Root Canal Therapy and Endodontic Surgery. When she is not at work she enjoys gardening, reading, music, long walks with her dog and travelling with her family.
Mary is an experienced receptionist, practice manager and an experienced, qualified dental nurse. She uses all these skills to be a great team player and may well be your first point of contact with any query that you may have. She enjoys dealing with the myriad of legislation that is needed in a modern health care environment.
