Dr Nida Kamal
Practice Principal
DDS, MFDS RCS Ed, MSc Endo, Assoc.FCGDent
Nida is passionate about combining charity work with saving smiles. During her undergraduate training she spent six weeks providing dental care in a government hospital in Peshawar, Pakistan. In 2017, she volunteered with the Work the World charity to deliver dental relief in Pokhara, Nepal.
With her calming, gentle manner, Nida is particularly skilled at supporting nervous patients and helping them overcome their dental anxieties. Because of her initiatives, Shiraz Endodontic Practice was awarded Midlands Treatment of Nervous Patients Winner 2025, and Highly Commended in 2024, reflecting the exceptional standard of care delivered to anxious patients. She completed her MSc in Endodontics from the University of Chester in 2022 and is on a clear trajectory towards endodontic specialisation. Christopher Rogers
Managing Director
BEng (Hons), MBA, CEng
Christopher is the Managing Director of Shiraz Specialist Dental and is responsible for the strategic and operational development of the practice.
With a background in engineering, business and management, Christopher brings a systems-led approach to the running of Shiraz, overseeing areas including practice operations, business development, patient experience, technology, marketing and the development of relationships with referring dental practices.
Working closely with Practice Principal Dr Nida Kamal and the wider clinical team, Christopher has helped oversee the significant growth and development of Shiraz into a multidisciplinary specialist referral practice, with a strong emphasis on delivering an exceptional experience for both patients and referring clinicians.
Christopher holds a First-Class Honours degree in Engineering and an MBA and is a Chartered Engineer (CEng). His approach combines the analytical and problem-solving principles of engineering with commercial and operational management.
His contribution to the practice has also received recognition within the dental profession, being Highly Commended for Practice Manager of the Year – Midlands 2025. As part of the Shiraz team, he has also contributed to the practice being named Winner – Treatment of Nervous Patients 2025 and, most recently, Highly Commended in the Solihull Customer Commitment Award 2026.
Outside of the day-to-day running of the practice, Christopher is particularly focused on the continued development of Shiraz’s relationships with referring dentists and ensuring the practice remains easy to work with, responsive and supportive throughout the referral journey.
Dr Arta Vahdaty
Endodontic Specialist

Arta became a registered specialist in Endodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons in 1997. She qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1986 and worked in general practice and gained her MSc in Endodontics from University of London in 1992. Arta’s extensive experience has given her excellent skills in diagnosis, case management and treatment planning in endodontics. Arta’s interests include re-treatment and surgical endodontics with a particular focus on patient well-being and comfort. Arta lectures at Birmingham Dental Hospital, training undergraduates and is embedded in dental postgraduate education. She is a long-standing member of the British Endodontic Society and regularly attends the Langham study group meetings.
In her spare time she enjoys horse riding, squash, walking, cooking and she is actively involved in junior youth empowerment programs.
Dr Chris Burn
Endodontic Specialist

Chris graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2013 and was awarded the undergraduate prizes in Conservative dentistry and the Tom Pitt Ford prize in Endodontics (root canal treatment) by the British Endodontic Society.
After spending time in general dental practice in Derbyshire, he went onto work as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at York district hospital before returning to work in private practice, where he rekindled his passion for endodontics.
He passed his MFDS examinations in Edinburgh and was invited to join the Royal College of Surgeons in 2015.
He has a passion for providing high quality dental care and is dedicated to improving his skills and knowledge; having completed multiple courses with world renowned experts in the fields of Restorative dentistry and Endodontic.
Chris currently teaches part time at Birmingham Dental Hospital and has successfully completed extensive training at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in London, where he graduated with distinction. He is also an active member of the British Endodontic Society and the European Society of Endodontology.
Dr Raad Sabet
Endodontic Specialist

He is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Langham Endodontic Study Group, the British Endodontic Society, Dental Trauma UK, and the British Society of Prosthodontics, and has presented his research at the IFEA World Endodontic Congress. Beyond dentistry, Raad enjoys travel, fitness, and time with loved ones. A particularly formative experience was providing dental care in rural Nepal for six weeks, followed by trekking the Annapurna range, a journey that enriched both his clinical practice and personal outlook.
Dr Mohamed Sherif Ismail
Speciality Dentist in Endodontics

With 18 years of clinical experience in dentistry, Dr Sherif has developed extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing complex dental conditions. His passion for endodontics developed during his time at IMC, where he worked alongside a highly respected multidisciplinary team of specialist endodontists and consultant clinicians, managing increasingly complex root canal cases and developing a focus on preserving natural teeth.
Driven by his commitment to advanced endodontic care, Dr Sherif relocated to the United Kingdom to complete a two-year, full-time Master’s Degree in Endodontics at the University of Dundee, graduating with Distinction. His training included advanced non-surgical and surgical endodontics under experienced consultant endodontists at the Dental Hospital of Dundee.
Dr Sherif now limits his practice exclusively to endodontics, accepting referrals for complex root canal treatments, retreatments, vital pulp therapy and microsurgical procedures. He also works as a Specialty Dentist in Endodontics at Birmingham Dental Hospital, managing complex cases within a multidisciplinary environment.
He is committed to evidence-based care, using advanced technology including dental operating microscopes and CBCT imaging to provide precise, predictable treatment while helping patients preserve their natural teeth.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Sherif enjoys spending time with his family and has a keen interest in football, tennis and taekwondo. He is also an enthusiastic guitarist and enjoys playing music in his spare time.
Dr Shirin Shahr Baf
DDS, DClinDent, PhD, MFDS, FDS (Rest. Dent) RCSEd, FHEA
Shirin has extensive experience in managing complex restorative cases, particularly those involving periodontics and prosthodontics. She welcomes referrals for crown lengthening surgery, gum grafting, peri-implantitis management, tooth surface loss, and rehabilitation with implants and implant-supported prostheses.
Alongside her clinical and teaching work, Shirin runs courses that help dentists develop their clinical skills and knowledge.
Outside dentistry, she enjoys walking, Pilates and dancing.
Dr Rajveer Athwal
Raj is a restorative and cosmetic dentist with a focus on smile design, rebuilding worn and broken-down teeth, dental implants, and precision digital dentures.
He graduated in Dental Surgery from the University of Liverpool in 2016, where he was named UK Dental Student of the Year, selected from more than 5,000 students across the UK and Ireland for his clinical ability, academic achievement, and personal qualities. He later became a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Raj has completed advanced training at the Dawson Academy, alongside postgraduate qualifications in Dental Implants and Clinical Hypnosis, enabling him to provide high-quality restorative care while helping anxious patients feel relaxed throughout treatment.
Working across specialist referral practices in the Midlands, he treats everything from cosmetic edge bonding to full mouth rehabilitation, using digital planning so patients can visualise their expected results before treatment begins.
Outside dentistry, Raj enjoys skiing and scuba diving. He has also volunteered with Crisis, providing dental care for homeless guests, and has led volunteer dental camps in Malawi.
Dr Bethan Elvins

Dr Sukhvinder Singh Atthi
His valuable experience in a busy hospital Oral & Maxillofacial Unit and has a lifelong passion for Oral Surgery and Dental Conscious Sedation, areas in which he has since built an extensive, distinguished career.
Dr Atthi pursued rigorous postgraduate training, achieving both Diploma in Dental Conscious Sedation and a Masters degree in Oral Surgery. His dedication to continuous learning and clinical excellence has enabled him to become an accredited Tier-2 Oral Surgeon for the NHS. This role allows him to offer a wide range of advanced oral surgery procedures, often accepting complex referrals from other dental professionals.
Mujahid Kamal
Mujahid graduated in 1983 from Khyber Medical College after receiving the Best Graduate of 1983 award. He has over 30 years experience in radiology and is a consultant radiologist and head of department at Lincoln County Hospital. Mujahid has been a fellow in the Royal College of Radiologists since 1994. Mujahid is an expert in reading and interpreting MRI and CT scans of the whole body.
He is an active member of the mens council at Lincoln Mosque, and is heavily involved in charity work. Mujahid has founded a charity based in the Khyber province of Pakistan to help provide financial assistance for children. In 2018, the charity helped 281 children (both girls and boys) by funding their schooling. Additionally, stationery packages and uniforms were provided to 500 school girls. Funds were also provided to volunteer eye specialists for the free surgical treatment of children with eye diseases.
In his spare time he enjoys badminton, the gym, exploring spirituality and politics.
Farhat Kamal

In her spare time she enjoys reading, going for walks and spending time with family. She is an active member of the womens’ council at Lincoln Mosque, and is heavily invested in charity work.
Lawrence Massie
Practice Manager
In his spare time, you will find Lawrence playing the drums in his band, spending time with friends and family and keeping himself fit and healthy at the gym.
Mary Holroyd
Mary is an experienced receptionist, practice manager and an experienced, qualified dental nurse. She uses all these skills to be a great team player and may well be your first point of contact with any query that you may have. She enjoys dealing with the myriad of legislation that is needed in a modern health care environment.
Robinder Seera

Known for her empathetic and approachable manner, Robinder provides excellent patient care, ensuring that every patient feels comfortable and well informed throughout their treatment journey.
Outside of work, Robinder enjoys travelling, eating good food and socialising with family and friends. Balancing her professional life, she is also a devoted wife and a proud mother of 3 children, making her life both fulfilling and dynamic.
Keischa Gonzales
Known for her dedication to patient care, she has also pursued further qualifications in Dental Radiography, Implant Nursing, and Infection Control. Serving as both a dental nurse and Treatment Coordinator, Keischa contributes innovative ideas to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Outside of work, Keischa enjoys nature walks, reading and spending time with her children, while also aspiring to complete further training in dental sedation.
Adeela Ahmed
With a strong interest in oral anatomy and biology, Adeela has embraced the opportunity to develop clinical knowledge and practical skills alongside industry-leading dental professionals. Adeela has become an integral part of the team, supporting clinicians and patients throughout a range of endodontic procedures, including root canal treatment.
Adeela’s enthusiasm for patient care, combined with a keen interest in the technical aspects of dentistry, continues to drive a desire to develop a deeper understanding of endodontics and oral health.
Outside of work, Adeela enjoys socialising with friends and family, as well as spending time learning more about endodontic procedures and keeping up to date with developments within the field.
Saaliha Imran
I have a Level 3 certificate in Health and Social Care and have gained useful skills in empathy, communication, and helping people in various care environments. I have a solid understanding of patient needs and approaching my work with professionalism and compassion because to this background. I like assisting patients and the team as part of my apprenticeship, making sure that every visit is as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
I’m excited to advance my endodontics knowledge and abilities, become a more self-assured and competent dental nurse, and help provide top-notch patient care.
Jodie Gallagher
Working across multiple practices has given Jodie extensive experience in delivering excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the reception team. She enjoys being part of each patient’s journey and takes pride in helping patients feel welcomed, supported and well cared for throughout their visit. Known for her approachable and friendly manner, Jodie always strives to provide the highest standard of service to both patients and colleagues.
Outside of work, Jodie enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, going out for meals, and watching a good film.
