Arta Vahdaty

Endodontic Specialist

Arta became a registered specialist in Endodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons in 1997. She qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1986 and worked in general practice and gained her MSc in Endodontics from University of London in 1992. Arta’s extensive experience has given her excellent skills in diagnosis, case management and treatment planning in endodontics. Arta’s interests include re-treatment and surgical endodontics with a particular focus on patient well-being and comfort. Arta lectures at Birmingham Dental Hospital, training undergraduates and is embedded in dental postgraduate education. She is a long-standing member of the British Endodontic Society and regularly attends the Langham study group meetings.

In her spare time she enjoys horse riding, squash, walking, cooking and she is actively involved in junior youth empowerment programs.

Nida Kamal

Practice Principal
DDS, MSc | DwSI (DES) Endodontics

Nida graduated in 2012 from Riga Stradins University, Latvia with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS). She has over ten years of dental experience working in both the NHS and Private spheres. Nida is passionate about combining charity work with saving smiles. She spent 6 weeks during her undergraduate degree providing dental relief in a government hospital in Peshawar, Pakistan. In 2017, Nida worked together with the Work the World charity to provide dental relief in Pokhara, Nepal. 

With her calming, gentle manner she is excellent with nervous patients and really strives to work with her patients to overcome their dental fears. Recently she has successfully completed her MSc in Endodontics from the University of Chester, and is on a trajectory towards Endodontic specialism. Nida is a member of the British Endodontic Society and enjoys attending the Langham study group meetings.

Outside of work she enjoys losing herself in a good book, long walks, the gym, travelling and endless cups of tea.

Chris Burn

Endodontic Specialist

Chris graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2013 and was awarded the undergraduate prizes in Conservative dentistry and the Tom Pitt Ford prize in Endodontics (root canal treatment) by the British Endodontic Society.

After spending time in general dental practice in Derbyshire, he went onto work as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at York district hospital before returning to work in private practice, where he rekindled his passion for endodontics.

He passed his MFDS examinations in Edinburgh and was invited to join the Royal College of Surgeons in 2015.

He has a passion for providing high quality dental care and is dedicated to improving his skills and knowledge; having completed multiple courses with world renowned experts in the fields of Restorative dentistry and Endodontic.

Chris currently teaches part time at Birmingham Dental Hospital and has successfully completed extensive training at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in London, where he graduated with distinction. He is also an active member of the British Endodontic Society and the European Society of Endodontology.

Hardeep Sahota

Periodontal Specialist

Hardeep graduated with honours from the University of Birmingham Dental School having received multiple prizes throughout the years spent there. This was followed by various hospital roles in maxillofacial, oral surgery and oral medicine. In addition, he has spent time as a clinical teacher of undergraduates at Birmingham Dental Hospital. 

Subsequently, his interest and passion for Periodontology led him to complete a 3-year specialist training programme at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute, London, where he graduated with distinction. Subsequently, he was awarded his membership in Periodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Further to clinical practice, Hardeep has been involved in collaborative research projects linked to systemic health.
  
Hardeep solely dedicates his clinical time in managing all forms of gum disease and periodontal plastic surgery. 
 
Outside of dentistry, Hardeep enjoys watching and playing football, travelling the world and spending time with his family and friends.

Satnam Virdee

Satnam Singh Virdee is a Speciality Registrar in Restorative Dentistry at the Birmingham Dental Hospital. He is enrolled on an integrated  clinical-academic training programme with a national training number where he has completed his Membership in Endodontics (MEndo) examination, is currently completing a PhD in Regenerative Endodontics, and then will proceed onto specialty clinical training in Restorative Dentistry. To date, Satnam has published widely in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, regularly presents his research at national and international conferences, is the recipient of 14 clinical-academic awards and serves as the Honorary Assistant Secretary to the British Endodontic Society. Outside of work Satnam enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Mujahid Kamal

Consultant Radiologist

Mujahid graduated in 1983 from Khyber Medical College after receiving the Best Graduate of 1983 award. He has over 30 years experience in radiology and is a consultant radiologist and head of department at Lincoln County Hospital. Mujahid has been a fellow in the Royal College of Radiologists since 1994. Mujahid is an expert in reading and interpreting MRI and CT scans of the whole body.

He is an active member of the mens council at Lincoln Mosque, and is heavily involved in charity work. Mujahid has founded a charity based in the Khyber province of Pakistan to help provide financial assistance for children. In 2018, the charity helped 281 children (both girls and boys) by funding their schooling. Additionally, stationery packages and uniforms were provided to 500 school girls. Funds were also provided to volunteer eye specialists for the free surgical treatment of children with eye diseases.

In his spare time he enjoys badminton, the gym, exploring spirituality and politics.

Farhat Kamal

Anaesthetist/Sedationist

Farhat graduated and started practicing medicine from Peshawar, Pakistan in 1983. She obtained her masters in Anaesthetics from Glasgow University in 1993. She has a wealth of experience having worked as a general anaesthetist as a speciality doctor for over 20 years. She worked hard alongside her anaesthetic colleagues and physiotherapists to found a Pain Clinic to help manage chronic pain for patients in and around the Lincoln area, for 8 years. With her bubbly, charming personality she wins over all patients and is able to form a bond with and relax even the most nervous of patients.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, going for walks and spending time with family. She is an active member of the womens’ council at Lincoln Mosque, and is heavily invested in charity work.

Chris Rogers

Head of Operations

eMBA, BEng (Hons), CEng, CSEP, MINCOSE.

Chris graduated in 2013 from Coventry University. He is an agile minded Systems Engineer who specialises in process definition and augmentation. He has worked on multi-billion-pound projects in Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Nuclear and Rail, and has now branched out to enter the dental sphere. Having worked on complex projects and throughout different stages of a system’s life cycle, he has developed a well-rounded holistic viewpoint and a unique Systems Thinking approach to synthesising solutions within the project’s constraints. Chris has recently completed an Executive Masters in Business Administration (eMBA) from Quantic School of Business and Technology, Washington DC and is looking forward to implementing his newfound skill set.

Outside of work, he enjoys picking up his badminton racket to take on the Birmingham and Solihull contenders.

Robinder Seera

Periodontal Therapist

Robinder started off her career as a dental hygienist and has further trained to become a periodontal therapist. She has over 24 years experience working in both the NHS and Private sectors. She has extensive knowledge and skills in her field that allow her to provide expert dental treatment and care. She is passionate about working alongside patients to improve their oral hygiene and lifestyle habits. Robinder has extensive training working with nervous patients and her greatest satisfaction is seeing improvements in patients’ oral hygiene and confidence in their smiles. Robinder works alongside our resident periodontist to keep patients smiling. Outside of work, Robinder enjoys cooking, baking and socialising. She also enjoys going for long walks and to the gym.

Mary Holroyd

Mary is an experienced receptionist, practice manager and an experienced, qualified dental nurse.  She uses all these skills to be a great team player and may well be your first point of contact with any query that you may have.  She enjoys dealing with the myriad of legislation that is needed in a modern health care environment.

Naomi Gbasai

I started dental nursing in 2017 and qualified in 2019. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside implantologists, hygienists and general dentists. I love gaining experience in dentistry and always look for opportunities to improve my skills. My favourite part of dentistry is building a good rapport with my patients and I do all I can to make sure that their experience at the practice is a positive one. Outside of work I enjoy travelling, eating good food and socialising with family and friends.

Iqra Umar

Iqra started her journey as a dental nurse in 2015 and later qualified in 2017. In Iqra’s 8 years as a dental nurse, she has gained a vast experience in the field of implants, endodontic’s and general dentistry. Iqra’s favourite things about dentistry are learning new skills, meeting new people and working alongside her coworkers in order to achieve best practice/patient care. 

Iqra would describe herself as friendly, bubbly, positive and a hard worker.

Chloe Redding

Infection Control Lead

Chloe has 7 years nursing experience and has her level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing. She is registered with the GDC, and has a passion for all things dentistry. Outside of work her hobbies include dancing, puzzle solving and history, particularly ancient Egypt Greek mythology and the Tudor era.
